Faith Life 13 (FAITH NEUTRALISES SELF)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 13) TOPIC: FAITH NEUTRALISES SELF SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:5; Genesis 5:24 The Bible made a very strong statement here that, "Enoch walked with God to the point that he was not found in himself, but He was found with God, right in His presence." This is God's dream for humanity, that we will be found in Him; spirit, soul and body. Although, this dream shall be perfected at the second appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. But in the meantime that we are here in this world, we already have the first fruit of this glorious redemption in our spirit man. We are not in possession of our spirit man the moment we come to God through faith in what Christ has done. The triune God becomes possessive of us with all that He is. The same nature of God is applicable to the spirit man of a born again child of God. For example, if God is eternal, then your spirit man is eternal and will nev...

Faith Life 12 (FAITH BUILDS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 12) TOPIC: FAITH BUILDS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) The first thing I will want us to note is that what makes Faith really Faith, is the object of our Faith, Which is Christ Jesus. Therefore, when I use the word Faith, I mean faith in the person of Christ and what He has done for us. Hebrew 11:5; Genesis 5:22-24 What Apostle Paul called Faith in Hebrew 11 is the same thing as 'walk with God' which Genesis recorded of Enoch. It takes faith to walk with God. We have seen in our previous discussion that, faith in Christ transcends what we can feel, taste, smell, see or hear. That is, it is beyond our five physical senses. Therefore, for us as christian believers, to rise above all what this physical world is throwing at us and engage a walk with the Lord, then it must have taken Faith in the person of Jesus. We had a report from the scripture that the generation which E...

Faith Life 11 (FAITH AND SERVICE)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 11) TOPIC: FAITH AND SERVICE SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:4 We can see from our text that it was through the excellent sacrifice Abel brought that he could obtain a witness that he is righteous. The sacrifice you bring determine what God testifies about you. God told Abel that he was righteous because of the sacrifice he brought. Even his brother, Cain could understand what God has declared concerning him. Everyone could see God's hand over his life because it was evident. God doesn't just want to keep you in a corner where you won't be relevant in your generation. Instead, God really want to manifest His life (Righteousness) through you. But when you bring yourself and what you can offer on the platform before God (just like Cain), then God's righteousness cannot be established in you. God's righteousness can't be manufacture. It can not be established by your good w...

Faith Life 10 (FAITH, A RESPONSE TO REVELATION)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 10) TOPIC: FAITH, A RESPONSE TO REVELATION SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:3; Genesis 4:3-5 In today's study, we will be learning from the life of Abel, how Faith in Christ transformed him. The Bible says; "by Faith, Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain...." Abel offered an animal to God as his sacrifice, but Cain didn't offer an animal, Instead he offered the fruit of the ground. Abel understood that they should have been struck dead when their parents fell into sin in the garden, instead, God offered a lamb in their stead. He understood that they were accepted and treated with mercy and grace based on the sacrifice of the Lamb. Therefore, they could stand in God's presence based on the covering of the Lamb (Genesis 3:21). This Lamb is a symbol and shadow of Jesus Christ, the Lamb who came to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29).  You will never...

Faith Life 9 (FAITH HELPS UNDERSTANDING)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (PART 9) TOPIC: FAITH HELPS UNDERSTANDING SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:3 I want to first talk about the first phrase in the scripture above; 'By faith we understand...' The first thing I will want you to note from the text is that faith in Christ helps us to have a proper understanding of God. I understand that people do say that "God's way is past finding out, and that our 'pea nut' brain can't be able to comprehend God." There is a lot of truth behind those statements. But I want you to know that God want us to understand Him. We may not be able to have a full grasp, but God want us to understand Him and His ways progressively. We will see that in many scriptures, God explained Himself to people. If we can't understand Him, then there is no point for Him to have explained Himself to people. It's true we can't understand God with mere logic but the tr...

Faith Life 8 (GOD'S TESTIMONY AND FAITH)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (PART 8) TOPIC: GOD'S TESTIMONY AND FAITH SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:2 From the above scripture, we see the Bible says "it's by faith the elders (talking about old testament saint) earned a good testimony from God." Do you know when you're operating in faith in the person of Jesus, God waxes lyrical of you? Matthew 3:17 God was testifying of Jesus, (when John was baptising Him in the river of Jordan) that He is so pleased with His Son, Jesus. Also, when you put faith in Christ Jesus, God dosen't see you or your flaws again, but He sees the person and life of Jesus in you. And this same theme the Father sang of Jesus, also sings in our heart and should radiate on faces as the beloved of God. The old time saint put their faith in God's word pointing to Jesus, and put their faith in God's sacrificial system, also pointing to Jesus. This gave them a testimony from G...

Faith Life 7 (FAITH BUILDS CONVICTION 2)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 7) TOPIC: FAITH BUILDS CONVICTION (Part 2) SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:1  Let me start by saying that, the life of Faith is the life God want us to live. As far as we have understood the scripture, you will agreed with me that we all possess the same Faith, "the very faith of our Lord Jesus Christ." But what differentiate us is our convictions. Conviction is strong persuasion or belief about something. Last time, we started looking at the life of Abraham, in respect to his convictions. And we will still be seeing an example of his life, how Faith shaped his conviction about what God has told him. Romans 4:19-21 The Bible says here that Abraham was not weak in Faith, which made him not to consider the external factors surrounding him. The reason we get wearied is because our faith is weak. This is a signal for us as Christian believers to know if we are weak in Faith or not. Anothe...

Faith Life 6 (FAITH BUILDS CONVICTION)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 6) TOPIC: FAITH BUILDS CONVICTION SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:1  You can pay for a good in a store, and it's possible for one reason or the other, you don't need the good at the present time. Then the store will give you a receipt lll is a l of evidence, that you have already paid for that good but you have not yet collected it. Therefore, anytime you want to collect it, you can't be deny under normal circumstances as long as you take the receipt (evidence) along.  The point I want to drive out from the illustration above is that, Faith is the receipt that the Holy Spirit has given to us to be able  to collect the finished work Christ has stored up for us. Faith is the receipt of whatever Christ has paid for. Whenever you have faith with you, you can be so assured that you lack nothing (2 Peter 1:5-8) . The reason we see ourselves as  a random person is because we probabl...

Faith Life 5 (FAITH IN RELATION WITH HOPE 2)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 5) TOPIC: FAITH IN RELATION WITH HOPE (2) SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:1 Romans 8:24-25 Hope is basic for every christian believers, that without hope, life loses its meaning (Lamentations 3:18). The Bible says in Romans 8:24-25 that, "we are saved in hope." When we observe how we got saved after we've heard the gospel truth; the saving grace of CHRIST. You will agree with me that we didn't get to see it with our physical eyes, but we expect that we will be save, which was why we could put our faith in the person of Jesus for our redemption. We can also see it in that Romans 8:24, where the Apostle further said that "hope that is seen is not hope." This means that  biblical hope doesn't operate on what is seen. In other words, I can say that 'Hope' is a virtue to counter all of the negatives all around you. Actually, It is a blind man, that is, someone...

Faith Life 4 (FAITH IN RELATION WITH HOPE)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 4) TOPIC: FAITH IN RELATION WITH HOPE SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:1 It is very important we talk about hope when we are dealing with faith. It is very important because the Bible says Faith gives substance to whatever we have hoped in God. Just like a leather ball, when it has been deflated, it will definitely not bounce. But when air has been pumped into it in the right proportion, then the ball will be able to bounce. But when you puump air inside a tore leather ball, it can never bounce. Hope is like the leather ball and faith is like the air pumped inside it. The reason we are not bouncing is because there is no hope available for faith to work in. Or your hope has been tored just like the tired leather ball. Therefore, it is very important to understand hope as much it is important to understand faith. So what is hope? Hope is an expectation of God's manifestation in our everyday e...

Faith Life 3 (FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 3) TOPIC: FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Hebrew 11:1 Substance here means foundation; something that is firm. It is very important for us to understand this because many people think faith is just a figment of imagination or an idealogy. Faith is not based on experience neither is it calculated through reason.  Faith is also the foundation of any hope we may have under God. If our hope is not sitting or resting on a foundation, then our hope will be dangling in the air. Faith is a bed rock for whatever you are hoping to receive from God. If a person's hope is not hanging on the faith of Jesus, then that hope will be dashed (Romans 5:5). We have seen how God Himself engaged faith in His Son for the creation and redemption of man. Therefore, God's hope of having many sons in glory is hanged upon the faith in His son, Jesus. This tells us that Faith is the foundational basis ...

Faith Life 2 (GOD USES THE SAME FAITH AS OURS)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 2) TOPIC: GOD USES THE SAME FAITH AS OURS SPEAKER: PETER AYOOLA FAKEYE (PAF) Ephesians 1 God has chosen Christ for the world to be the center and the central of all human history; to be the anchor and the pillar of the whole world. God has chosen Christ to be the creative force behind the creation of the universe, and also the remedy of it even before the world began. Christ had become everything the world will ever need before the world was created. And that's why the Bible says, He was slain before the world began (Revelation 13:8) In the sight of God, whenever He sees Jesus, He sees the picture of the entire world, even when the world has not been created. Jesus had been the creative force and component of the world. That's why God did not have to worry when He spoke the world into existence because He has Faith in His son. God knew that His son possesses the same ability He has. It is important ...

Faith Life 1 (Introduction)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY Theme: Faith Life of Christian Believers (part 1) Introduction Speaker: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF) Faith is God's gift of grace given to man so that man can be able to draw on His power and provision. We can also put it this way that, Faith is God's ability in us to be able to believe, trust and rely on God for the supernatural. Ephesians 2:8-9 According to the above scripture,  the way we could ever be able to connect into God's grace is through Faith. We must also note that it's a gift and not what we can produce by ourselves. Let me say this that, a natural man does not possess this supernatural Faith. He doesn't have the ability to believe God. For example, Adam and Eve started putting their trust in unfaithful things after he had fallen into sin. He started putting faith in leaves that withers off instead of the glory of God that has always been their covering. They began to put trust in hideouts, maybe under some trees or somethi...

Moment of Truth with PAF

MOMENT OF TRUTH WITH PAF Friends! It's a delusion if we think this government is taking us somewhere and it is a delusion to think this government is better than the previous one. You may say the previous government is corrupt, and so also is this government. But the difference is that there was freedom to worship and to express yourself in the market places and public places. The reason why I will always support the last election candidate that lost over this present government is not that he has his records clean and it's another delusion to think that this present administration has a clean record. NO!!! But I believe we will have more freedom with the other administration than this present one which has seized human being of their legitimate freedom to worship and to express themselves in situations that is unpalatable. Someone said He would have made the nation suffer. Brother! Can there be any suffering greater than this? Did I say anyone is better at judging their track...
