Faith Life 8 (GOD'S TESTIMONY AND FAITH)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (PART 8)
TOPIC: GOD'S TESTIMONY AND FAITH
SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF)

Hebrew 11:2
From the above scripture, we see the Bible says "it's by faith the elders (talking about old testament saint) earned a good testimony from God." Do you know when you're operating in faith in the person of Jesus, God waxes lyrical of you?

Matthew 3:17
God was testifying of Jesus, (when John was baptising Him in the river of Jordan) that He is so pleased with His Son, Jesus. Also, when you put faith in Christ Jesus, God dosen't see you or your flaws again, but He sees the person and life of Jesus in you. And this same theme the Father sang of Jesus, also sings in our heart and should radiate on faces as the beloved of God. The old time saint put their faith in God's word pointing to Jesus, and put their faith in God's sacrificial system, also pointing to Jesus. This gave them a testimony from God.

Luke 18:8
God is not looking for prayer warriors, Evangelist, Apostles or Pastors as it were. But what God is interested in is Faith. Are you operating based on Faith in Jesus. Jesus said here that "will faith be found on the earth when He comes?" No matter what God has called you into, it will require Faith. So it's not first about your call that gains you God's approval, but It is your response to the call and how you have responded. Just as God has called everyman to share in His life by His grace and mercy, but we responded and acted on His call by putting faith in Christ Jesus. Men may be celebrating call and gifts, But God celebrates Faith (Matthew 8:10).

What do I mean by responding to Faith?
Let me make an example. When we heard the message of Grace, and we've received the call of salvation, we knew that in ourselves, there is no how we could earn God's forgiveness; get ourselves sitted with the truine God, and get freed from the oppression of the devil. But then, we responded to the call knowing fully well that someone (Jesus) has paid the sacrifice for all of these. So also, whatever the call you have received from God, you don't have what it takes in yourself to carry it out. But rather we are to respond knowing fully well that someone has made provision for whatever you have been called to do (1 Thessalonians 5:24). This gives ease in ministry.

Number 6:22-26
God calls those blessings special blessings in the above scripture. And these are your portion in CHRIST. "May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you.." Sometimes you look at some Believers and then you wonder how they are always moody, never smiling and never joyful by default. Do you know why? It's because these men are not operating in Faith, therefore, God's approval, acceptance and recommendation is not real to them. Just imagine, you have a boss in the office, and every morning, he waxes lyrical of you, approves you in front of all the other staff, and gives good report of you. How will you feel? I believe you will feel excited throughout the day.

Brethren! When you begin to go about your activities based on God's provision and goodness, you won't have tension because you are not the one supplying what you need, so there is no pressure (Philippians 2:13). Also according to the scripture above, what people see is not even your face (smile), but God's face (smile) on you. God's smile will be projected on your faces and lips when you know that you are not the one delivering or making things to happen. There can't be tension when we respond to Faith in Christ.

Another thing that scripture says is "God be gracious to you!" In other words, you enjoy ease in life and ministry. That's the life of someone that is receiving and enjoying God's testimony.

Brothers and sisters, we need to start responding to God in faith if this special prayer will be real in our lives.
