Faith is God's gift of grace given to man so that man can be able to draw on His power and provision. We can also put it this way that, Faith is God's ability in us to be able to believe, trust and rely on God for the supernatural.

Ephesians 2:8-9
According to the above scripture,  the way we could ever be able to connect into God's grace is through Faith. We must also note that it's a gift and not what we can produce by ourselves.
Let me say this that, a natural man does not possess this supernatural Faith. He doesn't have the ability to believe God. For example, Adam and Eve started putting their trust in unfaithful things after he had fallen into sin. He started putting faith in leaves that withers off instead of the glory of God that has always been their covering.They began to put trust in hideouts, maybe under some trees or something, instead of the presence of God. 

Romans 14:28
The sin Adam committed negate Faith (ability to believe God) in them. So instead of them to be motivated by Faith, they were motivated by the sin nature. Brethren! We can only walk and live in the victory that Christ has already provided for us through His Faith.

Faith is a gift God has given to man so that he can be able to relate with Him. We will never be able to believe God for salvation without Faith. Therefore, I believe the first gift the Holy Spirit gave to us is Faith, ability to believe God for salvation. And if it's a gift, then it means it is with you throughout your stay on this earth, because this is what you will be using all through your stay here to believe God for all what salvation entails, such as security, prosperity, healing, etc.

The problem many christians have is that they have silenced the effect of Faith in their lives. It is not that they have lost Faith, or God has taken it from them. But many have silenced the effect and this is the reason they have not been operating in the supernatural grace of God. They have been engaging self effort, and thereby they have put Faith to sleep. I think we need to repent and engage faith again.
Philemon 1:6

The Bible says faith becomes effective when we acknowledge every good thing that is in you which is provided by Christ Jesus. "Faith of Jesus" is a good thing that the holy Spirit has placed inside of you which you must start acknowledging instead of disregarding it and trying to find another option for yourself. Faith works when you begin to acknowledge that God has placed His Faith inside of you. "Acknowledge" means "you agree with". You have to agree with God that you have His gift of faith. Some Christians think what they need is big Faith or large faith. No! You can't have any faith greater than what you already have in your Spirit man. Come on! You have the same Faith of Jesus. The actual problem is a knowledge problem that you already have the faith of Jesus or a knowledge problem on how to apply it and make it work. 

YOU HAVE THE FAITH OF JESUS
