Giving Faith a voice 2 (The victor's Mentality 53)

I welcome you to today’s article. I believe strongly that you will be blessed beyond measure in Jesus’ name. In the last article, I began sharing on the second approach to handling the Word of God, which is by giving it a voice, by using your mouth to activate the word of faith. We looked at two points: 1. Expressing the faith in our hearts by confessing the Word over our lives 2. Reinforcing the Word within ourselves We will continue from there in today's article. 3. Speaking the Word in the face of life’s situations In Mark 11:22, Jesus was telling His disciples to have faith in God. He went on to say in verse 23: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Notice the order: believe in your heart, do not doubt, then speak. The reason we often shrink back in the face of difficult situations is that we have not...

Giving Faith a voice (The victor's Mentality 52)

I welcome everyone to today's article. My prayer is that you will be blessed as you go through it in Jesus’ name. Today, I will continue the series on Victor’s Mentality. At this stage, I have been focusing on how to handle the Word of God. In the last article , I discussed the first approach, which is handling the Word with the heart. The Bible says in Luke 6:45, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” In the previous article, I said the first channel through which the Word of God must enter a man is through the heart. I also explained that handling the Word with the heart means we keep receiving it, embracing it as truth, aligning with it, and making it our own. As this happens, the Word will naturally begin to flow out of our mouths. That is the principle behind this verse. And this works in the opposite direction as well. The reason it is so easy to say things that n...

Receiving the Word with the heart (Victor's Mentality 51)

Glory to God. It is a pleasure and a privilege to be here to share God’s Word with you. My prayer is that God's word will bless every heart. As we draw toward the close of this series, we have been considering for over a year the victor’s mentality of a believer. Right now, we are looking at the sword of the Spirit as the divine weapon God has empowered us with to keep winning in life. From Ephesians 6:17: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” For the past two articles, I have been sharing the characteristics of the Word of God from Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”   The final characteristic I want to share regarding the Word of God is this: the Word of God is a discerner of the heart. Last week, we saw how the Word of God affects ...
