Fruit of the Spirit 26 (Loves believe all things 2)

 LOVES BELIEVES ALL THINGS 2

“bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” I Corinthians 13:7 NKJV

In today's article, I shall continue from where I stopped in the previous article - Love believes all things.

Love believes all things means love is free from suspicion. The way of love is always right. She does not walk about with an ill-preconceived mentality in her heart. She is just walking with freedom and always sees people the way Christ will see them.

This issue of suspicion is very prevalent. Most times, it's because of what we had conceived in our minds, not necessarily because we had inspiration or saw anything regarding what we had imagined. For instance, some people cannot go to their village, not because God told them not to, but because they are always suspecting people are witches or not. Another example is when some people see a spider and immediately trace it back to their village people.

I aim to show you Jesus and His love for you so that your heart may be revolutionized and equipped by the Holy Spirit to love as He has loved us.

The scripture says, ‘Love believes all things.’ Do you know the reason we find it hard to believe God and His word is that we don't see and appropriate Christ's love for us? Faith and love are intricately connected. If you don't receive the love Jesus has shown you, you cannot believe and accept His provisions.

Let's look at the following scriptures:
“For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6 (NKJV)

The Bible says faith works through love. That is it! It is love that motivates and nurtures our faith. The love of Christ causes our hearts to be steady on Him and what He has done. That is faith. That is believing. However, you cannot be sustained ordinarily in believing God if you don't see His love for you. That is why many believers easily give up, isn't it? Because our faith is not hanging on the truth that Jesus loves us. Beloved, faith works through love. We must shape our belief system by receiving the love of Christ.

We must always reflect solely on Jesus' love, which was displayed on the cross. Just think about God almighty who became like us in His incarnation and passion so that we might become like Him in laying His life for us. We don't need to know all the terminologies, such as existentialism and all the ‘isms’ in theology. Just know that Jesus went through the unthinkable to take you away from hell and bring you into His kingdom. He left the ninety-nine - all of the beauty of His glory and splendor - to seek after one - the lost and condemned. How then can you daily think about this and still have a notion that one human being can kill you? Or one government can hinder the flow and supply of heaven? A man who is operating with Christ's love does not care about the externalities and whatever the circumstances are saying. His heart is steady on God because he knows GOD LOVES him.

This knowledge purifies your heart and causes you to love God: adore Him, honor Him, serve Him, and follow His purpose for your life. The reason we always see things from a negative standpoint is because our heart is not purified.
