THE RESPONSE OF FAITH PART 2

“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:23‬ ‭

In the last article, we saw the first reason why Moses’ Parents could act in faith and hid their child for three months. To have a brief review of the last article, you can click here.

 The second reason why Moses’s parents could respond in faith is that they were not afraid of the King’s command.

 This is also a similar situation while Jesus was born. Herod made a decree to kill newly born babies during the time of Jesus. But the angel told Joseph and Mary to take Jesus to Egypt so that Jesus would be safe from Herod’s hand. Matthew 2:13

 I want you to know for every difficult situation, as in the case of Herod and Pharaoh's decree, God always comes with wisdom to subdue such challenges or difficulties. The bible tells us in Corinthians1:30 that Christ has been unto us wisdom. Hallelujah! Beloved, there is always wisdom to navigate through storms and trials when our standpoint is on Christ; His love and embrace. But when your standpoint is base upon fear, you will be falling short of God’s wisdom.

 I have seen cases where men run into their doom in their life or career because of fear.

Life instances

A particular family was traveling in their car. Then, along their journey, their car was directly faced with an upcoming trailer. Due to fear, one of the daughters ran out of the car but unfortunately, she ran into the trailer, and miraculously the other people in the car were saved.

 I have seen people die in accidents, not because of the injury sustained from the accident, but because of shock prompted by fear.

 Beloved, fear has torment! When we are only driven by fear, we won’t be able to receive wisdom from the Holy Spirit on how to handle matters.

 On the other hand, I have seen people who allow the peace and calmness of Christ to reign inside them amid crisis. As a result, they could receive and understand the solution to that situation.

 For instance, my pastor once shared a testimony about his wife when she was so sick. He told us that she was already passing away during one of those nights when she was sick. But instead of him starting panicking and fearful regarding the situation, rather his confidence and trust in the Lord grew. Then the Holy Spirit ministered to him to give her salt water. The saltwater cured whatever was about to take His wife away. My pastor is not a medical practitioner, but God ministered to Him.

 Beloved, there is wisdom that goes beyond science that only emanates from the throne of grace. 

 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭

‬‬If you are not still, that is, if your mind is not at rest, you cannot know the power of God. You won’t be able to see what God has invested in you and what the Holy Spirit can work out in/through you.

 Be still! The Holy Spirit is saying to you, don’t allow fear to take you over, but be still and start seeing God at work in your life.

 Moses’ parents could act in faith and hid their child despite the decree of Pharaoh because they were in faith in the covenant God of Israel. They must have believed that God can protect their child, having seen God’s mark of grace upon his life.

God is saying REST. Rest in the finished work of Christ, and you shall surely receive insight to navigate through various circumstances of life.
