Fruit of the Spirit 21 (Love rejoices in the Truth)

Someone who has experienced the love of Yeshua rejoices in the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6)

In the previous article, I shared that Love does not rejoice in iniquity, in people's downfall, and the like. I also mentioned that the reason we often lack joy and excitement in our hearts is that we tend to look for others' downfall, condemn, castigate, and crucify them. Operating in joy becomes challenging under such circumstances.

However, through revelation and the experience of the Holy Spirit's work, I've come to understand that if you don't receive and extend the love of the Lord, other characteristics of the Holy Spirit, like JOY, cannot manifest. The default aura of a believer walking in God's love is Joy. I'm not just referring to emotional joy (although it includes that) but heartfelt joy that transcends circumstances and situations. That is the beauty of it.

Therefore, when someone knows the truth, specifically the gospel of Christ, they rejoice. That's what you should look out for—that people are delighting in the beauty of this truth.
A person walking in love will always desire to see others walk in the truth of the gospel and live by it. They will want to witness the truth being manifested in various aspects of people's lives.

That includes prosperity, healing, deliverance, and more—all dimensions of the gospel truth. You should be eager to see your brother or sister:

- Prospering in their business.
- Graduating from one level to another.
- Making progress and breaking new ground.
- Experiencing healing.
- Walking in freedom.

Even those who appear to dislike you, love will inspire you to desire that the truth and the fruits of the gospel are manifested in them—saving their souls, healing them, prospering them, and more. That is what it truly means to experience the love of God.

When you reflect on yourself, you'll realize that there's nothing anyone can do to us that we haven't done much worse to Christ. Yet, He wiped our slate clean, started afresh for us, and showered us with His blessings. What an incredible Love!

Can we start walking in this measure of love? We can begin from somewhere. Don't say, 'Oh brother, it's not that easy.' Indeed, you can't do it by yourself; it's impossible.
I'm saying, can we begin to meditate on the love we've received from the Lord Jesus and let our hearts bask in its beauty? That will transform us and move us to action, especially to love even our enemies, just as we've received it from the Lord.

Beloved, consider what God has accomplished for us in Christ; it's breathtaking. If we sincerely engage with it, we will desire to proclaim, pronounce, and promote this gospel truth with JOY. We will want to see it manifests in individual lives, regardless of the person.

We must long to witness people experience this truth in its full measure, growing in grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus. Is this what you desire for your neighbors?
