THE RESPONSE OF FAITH PART 3

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the kings command.” Hebrews11:23‬ ‬‬

Moses' parents could respond in faith because they saw God's sign on their baby. They saw the beauty and the grace of God upon Him. So they protected the baby.

Also, they could respond in faith because they did not consider the instructions of Pharaoh. One thing you must know is that your mind cannot be empty. It is either you are considering the word that is true about you in Christ or the words of Pharaoh. We have the words of Pharaoh being passed on all around us, such as the Doctor's report, lecturer's report, the economist report, and the likes.

The two points above are what has been considered in the previous article.

Another reason why they responded in faith was that they were not afraid of what Pharaoh has declared.

Fear has always been a tool that the devil uses against believers. We have many examples in the scriptures. Such as King Saul.

In the book of 1 Samuel 12, there we would see the account where Saul was destabilized by the threat of the Philistines and the pressure from His people. Consequently, he accommodated fear and that pushed him to neglect Gods order of service.

Fear will push a man to do something that will affect his destiny. If Moses’ parents had entertained fear, they would have yielded to the instructions of Pharaoh and would have terminated Moses’ life.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. I Peter 5:8‬ ‬

Peter tells us how the devil goes all aboutHe roars. When a lion roars, he aims to impose fear on the other animals in the forest. I want you to know, as believers, the devil cannot just come to attack you. What He first does is roar and threatened. And then if a man can be overtaken by fear as a result of his threatening, he will have free access to destroy whatever he handles in such a life.

Although, I aim not to magnify whatever the devil can do. Nevertheless, we need to know how he operates. If he can consume us all at once, then he doesn't need to roar. The lion doesnt need to roar when he sees his prey. What he does is strategically attack it. Isn't it?

But here is the good news, due to the fact we have received by faith what Christ has done for us via the cross; then the devil has no more right to attack us except if we don't know what we’ve believed. What he does is to threaten us, probably with trials, temptation, persecution, or rejection; and if we absorb his threat, then fear will be generated, and as a result of that fear he will have access to destroy whatever he handles.

Fear is a weapon of the devil against you. Fear is what precedes destruction. Can you commit yourself to God's hand and let him purge you of any kind of fear youve been entertaining?

Finally, do you want to stay free from every kind of fear? Then I admonish you to always carefully consider Christ and what he has already done for you, then you will see no reason to entertain fear.

Stay blessed!
