Faith Life 43 (Faith Brings Clarity to Vision 2)

FAITH BRINGS CLARITY TO VISION (PART 2)

Ayoola Fakeye

Over time I have discovered, particularly in my life before I begin to walk the path of faith that we find it very difficult to cast the net. We find it difficult to take a step of faith because we don't have the curriculum for such steps.

In the bible, the dealings of God with man have been progressive, as well as His revelations to man have been progressive. So, if you are going in a direction in life, and you have it all figured out, then I believe it's not God that is leading you (Hebrews 1:1-2; 2 Peter 3:18)

Genesis 27; Hebrews 11:20

Looking into the text, I see that Isaac’s dealings with His sons were carnal. He was thinking about culture and tradition; because thus says culture, “the firstborn child is heir to the inheritance.” He was so carnal in His judgment, not considering how God wanted the lineage of promise to continue. Although, despite his carnality, what motivated him was Faith in God's promise because if he didn’t have faith in what God had told him, he won’t even bother to pass it to any of his sons. And I strongly believe that this was what brought mercy along His path. God stepped into the situation and corrected the error and there was clarity at the end of the day.

Folks, there will be a point in your life when you will err. There will be a point where you are just heading in the wrong direction. But never there be a point that you will lose Faith.

Peter as an example (Matthew 14:22-33)

When Peter decided to step out of the boat that was already sinking, he stepped out based on the word of Christ. This man started in Faith, but at some point he missed it, and he was confused. He must have wondered how am I walking on the water? He must have considered many things apart from CHRIST, Just as Isaac considered culture and tradition.

In the middle of the sea, where Peter was sinking, he called to Jesus. In Faith, he was raised to live. I don't know if it appears that you are walking the path of death, I am praying that as you put faith in what Christ has done, you will be brought into the path of life by the supernatural working of the Holy Spirit.

If a man can write a report of his progress in his journey and he can figure out everything that happened in the cause of it, then I believe such a man has missed out on God's hand a long time ago. Many times you can't just explain, and you won’t be able to pick it out that this was the reason I am on the right track because you know in yourself that left to you, you will not be here (Jeremiah 31:3). But we have received grace and mercy during our Journey. Hallelujah! This comes as a result of our faith in Christ Jesus and what He has done.

Looking back on Isaac, God restructured things in His way, such that Isaac was clear of what God wanted as regards the lineage of promise. How do I know? I believe it is easy for Isaac to call back on Jacob after he was aware that He had been deceived, and then revoked all the blessings he had laid upon him. He could have gotten angry over Jacob because he has played upon his intelligence, such that, he would have cursed him instead of the blessing He took with Him. But due to Isaac's faith in God's promise (Christ), God supernatural brought His order and Isaac could clearly see what God wanted.

You might also be confusing already, just keep up in faith that what God says about you is true. He has said He will never leave you nor forsake you; He said He will order your path. Let these be your beliefs! Walk in such a way that you are focused on CHRIST, and I am certain that when you are about to miss any step, He will bring His order and guide your path. You shall see His hand over your life.

Have you been walking in the wrong direction all this while, and you feel like you don’t know what the future would look like? Probably, you feel your situation cannot be corrected. The Holy Spirit asked me to tell you, ‘trust in God's provision, and your path shall be made straight.’ You shall see light on your path again in Jesus' name.

  1. The key factor to our Christian journey is Faith in Christ finished work. It is the only criteria for victory in life situations. The more we appropriate Christ's victory in our lives, the more we are being conformed to His image.
We then live in Holiness made by Christ Jesus, and not by our self righteousness.
    Shalom 💖💖
