We’ve been discussing The Victor’s Mentality, and this is the sixth episode. In this article, we will take it a step further from where we stopped last
article. Previously, we discussed our source of strength and established the truth that God is the source of our strength—He is the One who equips us for every task.
Kindly refer to the link below to get a full glimpse of what we shared in the last
article.
In previous articles, I highlighted three important aspects to be aware of if you want to stay victorious. The first one, which we are currently discussing, is the source of your power/strength and the kind of power/strength you possess. In this article, I will share with you what I call The Force of Strength—or if you prefer, The Pool of Strength.
Let’s go back to our reference scripture:
“Now, my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you.”— Ephesians 6:10 (TPT)
This force of strength mentioned in the above scripture refers to the power of the Holy Spirit—the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. It overturned every limitation that could have hindered Him from fulfilling God’s purpose for His life and for humanity, whom He came to save. This is the pool of strength from which we must draw. The Greek word used here for power is “Kratos,” which means force of strength.
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.” — Ephesians 1:18-20 (NKJV)
My emphasis is on verse 19, where Paul prays that we may know the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to His mighty power (force of strength) that worked in Christ.
Now, let’s see how TPT puts it:
“I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your life will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power.” — Ephesians 1:19 (TPT)
The first power mentioned in verse 19 is “Dunamis” in Greek, which refers to the divine power available to every believer. It is an active spiritual power that enables us to engage life victoriously. And the more we realize the force of strength at work within us, the greater its manifestation in our lives.
The second power in verse 19 is “Kratos,” the force of strength—the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says that the power (Dunamis) toward us is according to the working of The Mighty Power (Kratos), the same force that raised Christ from the dead.
This is the Victor’s Mentality:
There is an ability (Dunamis) in us that is connected to the force of strength (Kratos), the power of the Holy Spirit. This means you can never run out of strength, resources, or supply—you have abundance in the Holy Spirit!
Sometimes, after you have engaged in mental or physical tasks, you may feel weak or drained. However, you can maintain a consistent level of strength and ability when you realize where you are connecteded. Instead of feeling exhausted, you get refreshed and re-energized—like a tank connected to a never-ending supply. The more you pour out, the more you receive! God wants to make you a reservoir of His power and grace, so that wherever you go, people can encounter Him through you. The more you release, the more you have.
Let’s read another scripture:
“May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].”— Ephesians 3:16 (AMPC)
Here, Paul prays that we might be strengthened with might through the Holy Spirit in our inner man. AMPC puts it as being reinforced with the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. Never allow yourself to think you’ve run out of strength—there is reinforcement! A fresh supply is always available. Whenever it feels like you are running dry, remind yourself where you are connected. You are not isolated from the power of the Holy Spirit. He always shows up to strengthen you when you put your faith in Christ. When you believe that what is true about Jesus is true about you, the Holy Spirit manifests His power to address every weakness in your life.
The inner man includes your intellect, emotions, conscience, imagination, memory, and will. Every part of your inner being should come under the influence of the Holy Spirit so that no area of your life lacks ability. The measure of power (Dunamis) available to a believer is limitless because it is connected to the boundlessness of God Himself.
Prayerfully meditate on these truths.
