THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GOD'S PRESENCE (PART 2)

“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.”

In the previous article, I have discussed the first point. In this article, I will discuss the second significance of the realization of God's presence; it equips or inspires the soul with patience in the trials of life.

Moses requested Pharaoh to let the children of Israel go to inherit their land, but Pharaoh made it hard for Moses. The treatment was frustrating, going back and front until the tenth miracle—the Passover. Standing on God's word will not come as a result of chance because the devil will make it hard for you to rely absolutely on the authority of God’s word, just as Pharaoh made it hard for Moses. If not Moses realized the presence of God was with Him, Pharaoh's attitude is enough to make him doubt God’s word.

If God has given His word, it is because He is intentional about it. He doesn’t just do things randomly, No! Therefore, whenever He gives His word, you can rest assured that He will see to it that it manifests. But many times, we lack patience because we fail to see the Lord already working things out for us

The devil will always pose difficulties in your faith journey, but I hope you remember the word of the Redeemer, “behold I have overcome the world.” Afterward, if all you see is the world and its challenges, then you have not believed what Jesus has said. Although, you need the patience to stay with God while the Holy Spirit is working in you and for you.

Therefore, we must know what patience is because patience is not what many have thought it to be.

Patience is engaging faith in a particular issue over a long period. Scriptures such as James 1:3, Revelations 2:19, and Hebrews 6:12 all put faith and patience together. Patience is not weakness or stupidity, as some people feel. But it is wisdom and strength in the Lord.

For instance, you have a difficult neighbor or roommate who always steps on your toes. For many people, they won't respond because of self, or they respond because of self. I want you to know that self can also do the right thing, but cannot do things right-eously. Self does the right thing not because He believes that it is the right thing to do, but because of personal exaltation, interests, and the likes. At the end of the act, you will discover it ends in bitterness, contempt, hate, malice, etc. And at times, it leads to depression and frustrations.

But if you are motivated by the love of Christ, it will always constrain you. Instead of taking offense to things done against you, you would see that you have done much more to Christ, and yet He can move on with me and supply Grace. If this is how we relate to people, our environment, and nature, then we don't need any laws.

When your focus is on the love of Christ, it inspires patience to respond in faith to the working of the Holy Spirit inside you. You’ll grow increasingly in love until God's love takes your entire heart.

When you respond in faith, you are light. You will not be cumbered with burdens and care. But you will experience Joy and peace, and you grow more in acting righteously. That is because you didn't give the flesh edge over you.
