The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace (THE VICTOR’S MENTALITY 33)

I welcome everyone to today’s article. It is my prayer that the Lord will encounter you with His Word. Today is the last session on this particular piece of armour: the shoes of the gospel of peace.
We have shared the three inward applications of the peace the gospel gives:
•  Peace in the conscience
• Tranquillity of the mind
•  Peace in the midst of challenges

In this article, I will conclude the teaching on the gospel of peace as I discuss the Gospel of Peace that we preach.

Having talked about peace of conscience, tranquillity of the mind, and peace over circumstances and situations, it is only right that we conclude by looking at how this peace expresses itself outwardly.
When Paul calls it “the preparation of the gospel of peace,” he uses a word that signifies readiness—a state of being ever prepared. That means the believer, having been firmly grounded in the peace of God, becomes a carrier of that peace wherever they go.

Before you can be effective in preaching the gospel of peace, these three dimensions of peace must first be a living reality in your own walk. You cannot genuinely communicate what you have not experienced. Because:
If peace has not settled your conscience, you will preach with guilt; if peace has not anchored your mind, you will preach from anxiety; if peace has not steadied your heart in circumstances, you will preach with restlessness instead of rest.

Evangelism, therefore, is not merely an act of speech but an overflow of the inner rest we have found in Christ. It is when the heart is settled in reconciliation with God that the feet naturally move to announce that same reconciliation to others. Yet, while the peace of God must first be an inward reality, preaching the gospel of peace remains absolutely vital. For, as Paul said in Romans 10:14–15:
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? … How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” (NKJV)

Those who have been established in peace are the ones whose steps bring peace to others. This means preaching the gospel of peace is not just about having the right words—it’s about carrying the right atmosphere. When the gospel is preached, it doesn’t only announce peace—it creates peace. So go into the world as one who has been reconciled, and your life becomes a walking declaration that peace with God is possible through Christ.

“Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon it” (Luke 10:5–6 NKJV).

The Message We Preach—Peace with God

The gospel we preach is first and foremost a message of reconciliation.
As 2 Corinthians 5:18–20 declares:
“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation… Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

This is the essence of the gospel of peace: God is no longer at war with humanity. The cross ended the hostility. Through Jesus, peace has been made—not a truce, but complete reconciliation. Every time we preach, we are announcing heaven’s peace treaty signed in the blood of Jesus.
Glory to Jesus!
