Faith life 68 (True Heroes)

Ayoola Fakeye The true Heroes  All those mentioned in chapter 11 of Hebrews and those referred to are the true heroes. They are true heroes because of their faith in the promised Messiah  –  Jesus Christ. These men received the promise of the messiah strongly by faith. God Himself reported about them, and He placed them in the His arrangement because they look towards the promise. God fixed them in the sequence of order of His dealings with man because they kept their eyes focused on the promise. This promise was a bond that maintained the circle of God's event and order until the messiah showed up. Now he is the provision. I mean the propitiation (wrath-bearer) for our sins  ( 1 John 2:2 ) . Beloved, if the Old Testament saints received the promise strongly by Faith, and they rejoiced in the expectation of His coming, and they could cheerfully suffer for that sake ( Hebrews 11:  33-38), How much more, we, t...

Faith Life 67 (Faith that transforms 3)

Ayoola Fakeye   In the previous article , we’ve seen the two transformations that took place in Rahab's life as a result of her faith.   1. It makes her renounce her way of belief and align herself with God’s worldview.  2. Faith produces a transformation in her character.   Today, we shall consider the three other transformations in the life of Rahab as a result of her Faith.   3. Faith in Christ will aid us to do nothing against the gospel but for the gospel. Joshua 2:4 gives an account of how Rahab hid the spies. She turned her back on her people and defended the people of Israel. That was the result of the faith she have in the God of Israel, or else she might have exposed the spies. Beloved, your faith cannot be active in the Lord, and not be sold out for him. Fire will always be burning in your bone, ready to be an influence in your generation for the Lord. If that is not true about your life, then you need to check...

Faith Life 66 (Faith that transforms 2)

By Ayoola Fakeye “ By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. ” Hebrews  11:31 ‬  “ Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? ”  James  2:25 ‬  Apostle James introduced the above sentence with  “ Likewise, ”  that is, in the same way. And preceding this statement was an account of Abraham ’ s faith ( James 2:24 ). Rahab, the harlot, was justified the same way Abraham was is what Apostle James meant. That is beautiful! She also received the same reward Abraham and his children received. She became part of Abraham's family because of her simple faith in the God of Israel and what He has done. In the Christian faith, there is no first-class or second-class citizen before God! Your Faith will produce great transformation when it looks up to Calvary, just as it did to Rahab. But when our faith is no...
