Faith Life 60 (Faith Approach 3)

THE FAITH APPROACH 3 (Ayoola Fakeye)

The book of Hebrews chapter eleven verse twenty-nine tells us that the children of Israel passed through the Red Sea on dry land because they believed the one that brought them out from Egypt by His mighty hand.

Although, When I studied the account in the book of Exodus chapter fourteen, I discovered that that was not their initial disposition. Initially, they were filled with unbelief and contempt. However, in the previous article, it was discussed how Moses started approaching the situation by faith, which eventually spun the Children of Israels faith.

The last article also discussed the two approaches Moses took to spin the faith of the children of Israel. You can click here to have a look at whats been discussed.

In this article, I shall be discussing the third approach.

3. See the salvation of the Lord.

Moses told the children of Israel to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Beloved, instead of wasting your energy being worried and afraid, why not channel that strength and put your mind together to focus on Christ and what He has done? You cant focus on Christ, and you will not see that the Holy Spirit is already making manifest his power.

I urge you to put your mind together to consider the victorious life you are living in Christ. Can you stop at different junctions you reach and reflect on the processes God passed through to bring your redemption? I tell you that to Stand still is not something you would do with your mouth, but it is an intentional act. It would take energy. Although, it is not a wasted energy but a productive one.

Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11‬

The writer of Hebrews admonishes us to be diligent. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines diligence as a steady, earnest, and energetic effort. That informs us that it takes diligence, in other words, a steady, earnest, and energetic effort to always put into focus and perspective that we need to rest; and see Christ and what he has done. That is vital because our flesh is not configured to rest. He always wants to boast about what he can do. But we ought to be diligent always to remind ourselves that the work is done. Victory is won, and in that particular situation, you shall be experienced it in Jesus’ name.

However, your carnal mind may find it tough to succumb to rest. It may be a war in your mind, but you must not give up. It will take diligence to remain rested in Christ's redemptive work. While you are diligent to rest, you are being built up in faith; in the victory that overcomes the world.

Moses told the children of Israel that while they rest, they shall see the salvation of God. Salvation has to do with the manifestation of God's love and power in our lives. That is what you shall experience in Jesus' name!

4. The fourth approach Moses took is that Moses saw God already at work to save them

He said to the children of Israel that they shall see God's salvation today. Beloved, we must always see God at work to make manifest in our lives everything He has provided via the cross of Christ.

The correct approach to Faith, as New Testament Saint, is not about believing or knowing that God will do it. It is about believing and knowing that God has already done it. Therefore, as a result, the Holy Spirit is already working to manifest all these provisions (such as divine health, success, victory over sin, etc.) in our lives.

Beloved, we don't have a high priest who isnt touched by our emotions. Jesus is touched by what is affecting you! He is concerned about your relationship, and he has made provision for fixing it. He is involved in your health, and He has already made provision for fixing it. Therefore, the Holy Spirit is doing it now. He is not working it out later, but Now! Just plunge your faith into Christ, who has provided our salvation. When you have this viewpoint that the Holy Spirit is already working it out, it makes you open to Him to receive His instruction and direction. As a matter of truth, that challenge you are facing needs one word from Him most times. But because we feel he is not yet on our case, we go to the cooler, and when He is expecting you to cooperate with Him for the next move, you are not available to listen to Him.

I want you to know that because everything required for life and godliness is already available in Christ, the Holy Spirit doesn't waste time carrying out what he supposes to do in our lives. He acts after we plunge into Christ. However, we are found wanting most times because we are not expectant.

Moses had not received specific instruction from God as regards what to do to cross the Red Sea, but he was so expecting that God would come through for them. And when God came through,  Moses was not found wanting. I pray you will not be found wanting in Jesus' name!
