It also means abandoning your position most times for a lower stake. Renunciation has to do with our will bending to God's will   Jesus, Himself, practices this. If Jesus did not, he will not have died for us. Ayoola Fakeye THE RESPONSE OF FAITH PART 3 “ By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king ’ s command. ”  Hebrews11:23 ‬ ‬‬   Moses' parents  could  respond in faith because they saw God's sign on their baby. They saw the beauty and the grace of God upon Him.  So they protected the baby.   Also, they could respond in faith because they did not consider the instructions of Pharaoh. One thing you must know is that your mind cannot be empty. It is either you are considering the word that is true about you in Christ or the words of Pharaoh.
