Faith Life 32 (The Mind With Faith)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part32)
TOPIC: THE MIND WITH FAITH
SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF)

Hebrew 11:15
From the above text, we were made to understand that if the Patriarch had been mindful of where they were coming from (the Chaldeans), they would have had an avenue to go back. The bible tells us emphatically that Abraham would have gone back to the place God called him from if he had considered the place. Brethren, what is your focus and your priority? What is our mind engaged with? We find it easy to talk about the faith of Abraham, but have we considered how he walked in faith and stayed in it. We talked about how he didn't backslide and how he just forsook every of his right and inheritance he might have possessed in his father’s land. I know many believers also desire this consistency, but are we ready to take those steps that he took?

Abraham was single focused as he exercised his mind to believe on the promises which God has told him of. And until we also start exercising our mind on focusing solely on Christ, such that we don't have opinion from the world, or from movies but we only take view from the word of God, then we won't be able to live a consistent Christian life. Therefore, we will not be able to experience the impact of life from the Holy Spirit that accompanied with Joy, peace and righteousness. Romans 14:7

We must understand that whatever we will receive from God requires Faith. Although, it is not our faith! We won't be able to produce any faith of our own that will be substantial enough to receive anything from God. Therefore, it has to be the supernatural faith of God which the Holy Spirit gives, so as to receive and walk in the supernatural.

Ephesians 2:8-9
I won’t want us to have a notion that faith is something we can produce by ourselves. Whatever man produces cannot come close to what God supplies! So we receive Christ faith at salvation through the supernatural working of the Holy Spirit after that we have received the word of God into our heart. As Christian believer, you need to know that you have the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ already. Hallelujah! Just as we have the righteousness of CHRIST, His love, Joy and the likes, we also have His Faith. All these came along with the new man. The reason I am emphasising this is because we can take this teaching carnally, and we will start thinking that you have a whole lot of work to do by producing Faith. NO! It is a finished work, so we just need to enter into the completeness of it. Although the underlining issue is that how have we been engaging this FAITH?

Many times we have forgotten we have Jesus’ Faith deposited in us in its fullness. This is the same faith Jesus made use of throughout His stay on this Earth. The same faith He engaged while on the cross, even as He trusted the Father to raise Him up on the third day. Many times, we don't consider all these things instead we consider our deficiency and weaknesses. At times, we are so engrossed with public opinions and governmental policy, thereby we just act as though we are just ordinary. The societal influence has also played a big role upon many lives and so they live under pressure - to perform and impress. I want to declare we have much more in Christ Jesus!

Abraham knew there was everything he needed in God, so he wasn’t bother as to what was left behind in his father’s land. No wonder, he stayed consistent in his walk with God without looking back. Also we won't be able to live boldly for Christ if we don't start valuing what we have in Christ Jesus. Even though it's true we have the faith of CHRIST, yet we will live as an ordinary person if we don't allow our mind to be engaged with this faith.
