Hebrew 11:11
By faith Sarah received strength of the Lord to conceive a seed. Simple and sincere faith opens you up to God. When you are in faith in what Jesus has done, what you are actually meant is that “I don't have strength on my own. Sarah, being ninety years of age means that naturally she can’t carry any child of her own. Even If God had supernaturally given her seed through her husband, she would also need a supernatural strength to carry the seed in her womb. Therefore, she must have been open to receive this supernatural strength from God else she would have wasted the seed and probably wasted her life in the process.

God fixing us up and solving our problems is definitely not the problem, but many times we have failed to open ourselves up to receive the strength that comes from the Holy Spirit to address our weaknesses. When you are open to someone, it means you trust and believe that person. The reason we shy away from God and try to fix ourselves is because we have not put our absolute trust on Him. God really want to supply us strength for our weakness, but He want us to agree with Him.

What God has called you into is bigger and greater than what you can ever achieve by yourself. If you have all what it takes in yourself to do what God has called you, then I will be sincere with you that it is not God's call. God will call us into something greater than us so that we can depend on Him as not to spoil or waste the vision (Isaiah 55:9).

For example, personally, if someone had told me I will be a public speaker dishing out the mind of God. I would have argued because I don't have what it takes to be such. I was a very shy person, I can't look at people into the face, I am not fluent, and many other disadvantage regarding public speaking. Glory to Jesus! God still called me into His plan for my life irrespective of my weaknesses.

You also might be reading this article and you know God has actually called you into something, although it might not be a public ministry as mine, but just like me you don’t have what it takes in yourself to function in what He has called you into, thereby because of that you have doubt in your mind has really called you. I want you to know that God really want you to be there. God gives us a task that will require faith walk with Him. If it is a task you already have it all figured out in your brain, then your self-confidence will hinder you to trust God to receive from Him, therefore you will spoil the purpose of the vision.
I believe God is telling you that, “Yes! you don't have what it takes, nevertheless I have called you into my purpose. Just don’t focus on yourself, rather, start a faith Journey with me (because of what Jesus has done) and I will supply all what you need.

When we look into the scripture in Psalm 8:2, the first part of the verse says, “out of babes and nursing infant, God has ordained strength.” Babes are dependent being. These are the ones people have overlooked from achieving great things. People will never think of them doing something meaningful.

You might also find yourself in a similar situation where people have looked down on you because they   can’t see anything in you to achieve the task God has given you. I’ll just want you to consider the life of Sarah, who of course people had written off because it’s difficult for anyone to have believed that she will be able to carry a seed. But God’s supernatural strength lifted her up and she was able to conceive a seed and eventually give birth which was against people’s opinion. Friends! Do not expose yourself to the opinion and comment of people that negate God’s word, just start a faith walk with God and get sincere with Him. He knows where you are incapacitated already, yet He has called you into His purpose, you’ll just need to be open yourself up to Him.

When we look at Matthew 21:16 where Jesus was quoting from Psalm 8 verse 2 which we’ve previously considered. Jesus said, “out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants, God has perfected praise?”. Jesus exchanged the word strength as it was used in the book Psalm for the word Praise. Was Jesus misquoting? No! He is the word Himself, so He couldn't have made mistake, but what Jesus was doing is that He’s giving the meaning for the word strength. For instance, if a baby does something spectacular, probably he moved a whole bag of cement from one place to another. I’m sure no one would have suspected that it’s the baby that moved the cement. God also want to produce something in you that can only be traced back to Christ and what He has done-so that in all things Christ can take the preeminence (Colossian 1:18). So that at the end of the day, those who have written you off will still be the same people that will say, “Oh no! it can't be him; but he doesn't have what it takes-the qualifications and the standards.”

When God ordained strength in you, the resultant effect is that He derives praise and glory in it. But you need to start a faith walk with Him!

Stay Blessed!
