Faith Life 19 (FAITH THAT CONSUMES UNRIGHTEOUSNESS)

GRACE ABOUNDS ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
THEME: FAITH LIFE OF CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS (Part 19)
TOPIC: FAITH THAT CONSUMES UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
SPEAKER: Peter Ayoola Fakeye (PAF)

The faith we have is the faith of Jesus, which He used to overcome everything that could ever befall humans when He was here physically. His Faith was channel towards His father and towards what the Holy Spirit could accomplish through Him.

When we look at the text, we’ll see that it was as a result of the faith that Noah has in the ark (God's system), that’s the reason he could condemn the world of sin. The question is, was he really the one that condemn the world? I mean was it really the one that brought the flood to the world? Because the bible attributed it to Him, even though he might not have been the one that has brought the flood directly, but it was attributed to him; just as the finished work of Christ on the cross was attributed to us when we are not the one that has done work. This is the power of Faith!

We must know that God's interest of bringing the flood is not to wipe out all human race. God has never been against human, because if He loves man right from the beginning, then there will never be a point where he ceased from loving man. The Bible tells us in James 1:7 that; “there is no variation or shadow of turning with God.” What God was vehemently against is what has been destroying His creation, which is sin, even though humans have been habouring sin. So, there is no how that sin would be judged, and man won't be judged alongside with it, because man was inseparable from sin. Therefore, man couldn't escape the judgement against sin, because he has been identified with it. What I wanted to debunk in people’s mind is that God has never been against man. It’s sin that God was against, and that was what He wanted to judge with the flood.

Although grace found Noah, and this grace chose him, so that he can also invite other people into the ark. We are made to known in the epistle of Peter that the Ark was not only built for Noah and His family. Apostle Peter told us in 2 Peter 3:9 that “God’s patience with man is because He does not want them to perish.” I believe the reason it took about hundred years for the ark to be completed is that, people can be convinced and respond to the call of God. But unfortunately, they never yielded to the call of God.

The bible tells us in Hebrew 11:7 that, Noah judged the world of sin because of his believe in the ark. The narrative to this is that, if Noah had not entered the ark, that is, if he had not responded to God, I want you to know that God would not have brought the flood to the earth, because God had already created man, plant, trees and the likes, and he won't be doing any other recreation again. That's why He put respective seeds into every living being. Therefore, if God had brought the flood, without Noah and His family responding to God’s instruction, man would have gone into extinction, and God’s plan for man won’t be accomplished.

What God will only do is regeneration, and he has done it. Hallelujah! We have been regenerated by the blood of Jesus. Actually, if Noah had not entered the ark, the Holy Spirit wouldn't have brought the flood on the earth. Although, I believe God would have still judged the world, but He will need to find a vessel that will respond to His call. The point I am driving at is that we are instrumentals to any change that will happen in our environment. A lot of prayer groups have been raised, and a lot of people crying to God for revival now and then, my brothers and sisters, God has never been our problem, but we are the one that need help.

The Bible tells us that it was through Noah’s faith in the ark, that facilitated the flood coming upon the earth. The reason we have not been influencing our community is because we have stayed outside the ark. We’ve not been conscious of who we in CHRIST, rather we have identified so much with culture, traditions and religions. In this manner, the Holy Spirit cannot flow through us to burn off wickedness and indecency in our systems. I want us to know that political system cannot change a corrupt nation. Believers in Christ, we are the answer to the cry of the community, because we have the life of CHRIST.

Although, many believers have neglected what we have, which can change the nation, instead, they’ve partied with that which is polluting the nation. We must know that it is the Holy Spirit that bring about the supernatural manifestation of God. Nothing has ever been carried out by God without the influence of the Holy Spirit. He is the one that implements God's agenda and intention. Although, Jesus Christ is God's means for revival and transformation, so when we are found wanting in Him, then the Holy Spirit can't move in our lives and environment. The Holy spirit needs us to respond to Christ to bring about the supernatural. He came on the basis of Christ death, resurrection and glorification. Therefore, if you can't sideline Christ and His cross, then you can’t expect Him to move.

Brother and sisters, we need to stay in the ark, that is, being conscious of Christ and His finished work if we expect God’s supernatural change to occur in our lives.

  1. Hmmm...this is awesome.
Revival will come as people yield themselves to God,not as we twist His arm more through religious intercession and spiritual welfare.
    Thanks for sharing PAF.
